Michael Anthony Moran was born July 6, 1977 in Rochester, Penn. the son of James Thomas and Angelika (Schottenhamer) Moran. He passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 46.
Officer Dillion Vakoff
For being only 27 years old, Dillon accomplished a great deal and leaves a legacy of kindness, positivity, love for his family and those closest to him, and support for his Arvada Police Department team (even his “extended team” on Arvada Fire who often found Dillon joining them on scene to offer his support.
Detective Joseph Pollack
Joseph Andrew Pollack, age 64, of Castle Rock, Colorado passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021. Douglas County Sheriff's Detective Joe Pollack, badge number 0214, died from complications due to COVID. Det. Pollack spent 20 years with NYPD, retiring as a sergeant. He spent 19 years with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, assigned to the Special Investigations Unit. He is survived by his wife and three children.
Deputy Sheriff Clay Livingston
Clay Zachary Livingston was born in Garden City, Kansas and died unexpectedly on December 3, 2021 at home after a short illness. Clay was a United States Marine Corps veteran of 4 years and a deputy sheriff with Elbert County Sheriff’s Department. He was a loving husband, devoted father, a wonderful son, an amazing brother, and an incredible grandson.
Officer Gordon Beesley
Gordon Beesley was a police officer, musician, hiker, biker, husband, father, brother, uncle and beloved friend during his 51 years. Born in Connecticut and raised in New Jersey, Gordon moved to Boulder to attend the University of Colorado before settling in the area permanently with his wife and two sons.
Officer Eric H. Talley
Eric Huston Talley, devoted husband and father, passed away on March 22, 2021 at the age of 51. Eric was born in Houston, Texas on September 26, 1969. He was the son of Homer Carroll Talley III and Judy Ellen (Butler) Talley.

Detective Curt Michael Holland passed away Friday, Oct. 16, 2020, in Commerce City, Colorado.
Curt Michael Holland was born Aug. 13, 1983, in Sparta. He was the son of Carl L. and Sharon K. (Cheatum) Holland.

Master Trooper William Modén was struck and killed by a vehicle while assisting at the scene of an earlier crash on I-70 near mile marker 324 in Deer Trail, Colorado.
Corporal Daniel H. Groves
Corporal Daniel Howard Groves, Age 52 of Johnstown, Colorado, youngest son of Howard and Eileen Groves of Orland Park, Illinois, passed away following an accident that claimed his life in the line of duty on March 13th 2019. He is survived by his parents; his partner of more than two years, Eddie Gomez; and his siblings, Jeffery, Jane, Peggy, and Donna; their spouses; and a loving extended family of nieces and nephews.
Sergeant Matthew T. Moreno
Sergeant Matthew Troy Moreno, 37, passed away Dec. 12, 2018. Survived by his dad, Ed Moreno (JoAnn); mom, Christine Dagnillo; daughters, Summer Moreno and Morgan Moreno; son, Jared Klipfel; ex-wife, Eva Moreno; sister, Karli (Casey) Michael; nephews, Kaleb Hargraves USMC, Gavin Hargraves, Ayden Michael; nieces, Maddie Michael and Kimber Michael; and girlfriend, Niccole Cordova. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Stanley and Josephine Moreno, Ludwig and Helen Centa.
Deputy Heath M. Gumm
Heath McDonald Gumm, 31, passed away in Denver, Colorado on January 24, 2018. Heath was born March 23, 1986 in Denver, Colorado to James and Rebecca (McDonald) Gumm. He graduated from Mullen High School in 2004 and earned his POST certification from Arapahoe Community College in 2011.
Deputy Zackari S. Parrish III
On February 21st, 1988, Zackari (Zack) Spurlock Parrish III was born to Zack Jr. and Cris Parrish in Nashville, Tenn. Upon graduating High School, Zack attended Dallas Baptist University and graduated in August 2009 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Communication. Shortly after graduating, Zack married the love of his life, Gracie Moehlenpah (Parrish) in Denver, Colorado.
